Refugee Journalism
Refugees, the issues that they have raised, and the response from the contexts into which they have travelled, is headline material in many parts of the world. The Refugee Journalism Project is an effort to assist refugees who were journalists in their country of origin. A key expectation of this project, from a journalistic perspective, is to "help change the narrative around refugees and migrants - too often they are cast as terrorists, parasites or victims." A central part of the strategy is to pair refugee journalists with established journalists and media professionals. You can read more about the Refugee Journalism project at this link.
