General Conversation - Steering Committee

This is a space for general conversation amongst members of the Steering Committee and Executive Group to raise and discuss key issues, suggest ideas and so on. I will commence this with an overview of how these groups work. But the main focus shoud be on moving the Conference forward. So, please do comment and reply.

Best wishes. Excellent to connect with everyone this morning. We were asked to establish a coordination space on The CI platform in support of the work of the Steering Committee and Executive group. We have commenced this. It will of course evolve and develop as we move forward with the planning and conduct of this event.

2. You will need to log-in. Your user name will be after the “Greetings” above. If you have forgotten your password please use the “Forgot your Password?” link on the login page. Only people approved to this group can access its content. Let me know by reply email if there any issues.

4. As we grow this conference more sections and information will be added.

5. Please do use the Comments and Reply functionality on all pages to ask questions, make suggestions, comment and suggest edits to papers, etc.

6. For now we will use the normal The CI approval processes designed to prevent spam. So there will be a delay in posting your contributions. But we will soon edit your account permissions so that your contributions are posted immediately.

7. To return to the home page for this group at any time please just click “Steering Committee - What Works Summit Group - April 2018 in the top block in the right column.

8. To review the profiles of people who are part of the Steering Committee and Executive group please click the  “(number) members” link in the top-right block. You can then review profiles. (I have also included Kier and Daniel from The CI so that they can identify any editorial or technical issues.) 

9. If you wish to edit your own profiles please click your user name top right (when logged in) and then click “Manage my Account
10. If there are any issues please get back to me by reply email. 

11. For now, for speed purposes, we are using The CI templates and theme/design. If this is an issue we can look to do a specific design and brand.

Hi folks - just a quick follow up note to Stephanie's message to remind and prompt you (if you have not done so already) to please complete the doodle poll at this link asap so that we can set the date and time for the next Summit '18 Steering Group meeting. Hi folks - as the number of groups engaged in the organisation of the summit is growing we have moved to adopt a common naming convention for all of the present and future groups. So the URL for the home page of the Steering Group space has changed and can be accessed here. Nothing else should have changed. More soon - thanks - Warren

Dear Steering committee members,

As mentioned in yesterdays meeting by Charlotte (who is heading the Outputs Sub committee), we are developing a brief questionnaire which is designed to inform the planning and development of the communication materials/outputs for this upcoming Summit.  This will be sent to the 750+ participants of the previous conference.

As we need to move on this quickly, please could you send in your comments by next week Wednesday, November 22.

This looks terrific! Aside from a quick copy edit, my only comment is that it would be good to include Springboard as well. As with CI it was a platform used before, during and after the Summit for discussion. Not sure best way to integrate into the questionnaire but would like to see it there. Thanks again for all your work on this! Susan
